Tulip Floral Design Lamp Shade
This whimsical tulip design is done in the Picotage method, known as “pinning”. Picotage dates back to block printing in the 1700’s in England when the carver, unable to cut very fine dots in relief, would stud the wooden block with brass pins. Done here in gold on a black silk lampshade, it would look equally well on different colored lamp shades using paints to match your décor.
