Size

To choose a lampshade to fit your lamp simply follow the easy instructions. Please note that not all designs are available in all sizes of lampshades, minimum sizes may be noted when ordering specific designs.

Designs by Grady - Hot to Measure

Measure your current lampshade according to:

  1. width across the top
  2. width across the bottom
  3. height down the side
The width across the bottom is what is referred to as the lampshade size  Please provide all three measurements when ordering.

Choosing the Correct Fitter

Choosing the correct type of fitter on the lampshade is very important. Please see below examples to find the type that matches your lampshade.

Designs by Grady - Washer/Spider

Washer/Spider:

This is the most common lampshade fitter. The washer fit (1/2” ring) will use a harp to hold the shade and a finial to hold the washer to the harp.

Designs by Grady - Clip

Clip

The two sided clip is used predominantly on smaller table lamps and chandeliers or candelabras.

Designs by Grady - Uno

Uno

This lampshade has a 1” ring with inner threads which screw onto the lamp bulb socket (used sometimes on table lamps but mostly on floor lamps).

Fabric

All lampshades are made of silk unless otherwise requested. If you wish to order a lamp shade made of another material please go to the custom order page.

Color

Lampshades are coordinated with designs so some colors may not be available for all designs. Please choose from the available colors or use the custom order form and describe your preference; if appropriate a custom design will be quoted to match design colors to lampshade colors.
